Jessica and Chris’s Wedding

Jessica and Chris wed last July in a lovely barnyard-chic ceremony. The couple met at the Red Cross in Seattle while both were working. Work and school took them to the East Coast, but the couple wanted a wedding closer to home. Their venue, Swan’s Trail Farms in Snohomish, WA, had a quaint little stream, sprawling grounds and was surrounded by picturesque views of neighboring mountain ranges.

As you’ll see in the photos below, many of the smaller details made a big impression. In remembrance of those not in attendance, a sprig of Rosemary was set upon each napkin. The chalkboard menus were beautifully decorated by a local calligrapher. The mint-colored classic truck on site added a fun and vintage element – it also complimented the color scheme so well!

The happy couple made certain to have fresh, local and seasonal products to be used. They wanted the best for their guests and this was an easy request to fulfill in the Pacific Northwest. The color palette for the bouquets and floral arrangements were handpicked and then specially grown by a local vendor. Similar steps were taken for the food. The couple and guests dined family-style on the freshest of the season. The shared meal was a lovely way for everyone to connect and converse. After dinner the dance floor was lively! People were moving and grooving under the Italian lights.

Take a look through the photos below and you’ll see the beautiful wedding for this sweet couple!

Lucy & Elliott’s Wedding

It’s hard to put into words a celebration as magical as this one! Lucy and Elliott’s wedding took place last August on Bainbridge Island. Her family had the perfect location for a summer wedding on the water. Friends and family opened their homes to the weekend celebration and all of the guests were able to stay on the island. Many personal touches helped make this wedding extra special. White paper parasols helped shade the ladies from the sun, hand painted signs directed guests along the grounds, and Billie J, their dog, was a very important part of the wedding. She even joined them at the altar 🙂

Guests mingled during a cocktail hour to the tunes of The Blackberry Bushes, a Northwest string band. This was the perfect musical back drop for the rustic yet romantic wedding. We really loved the mix of burlap and wood elements with the soft color palette. The bridesmaids wore the beautiful blush color that was also adorned in Lucy’s bouquet and floral arrangements. How stunning do they look next to the groomsmen in their cream suits and mint-colored ties? The whole feel of the wedding exuded Lucy and Elliott’s polished and laid-back style.

Megan’s Bat Mitzvah

Megan’s Mitzvah was super fun and sassy! We decorated with her favorite color, purple and added some flare with zebra-print details. From the floral arrangements to the swag bags, we created a look that showed off this dancer’s fun personality. This also helped to liven up the classic Skansonia ferry boat where guests watched the sun set over Seattle’s timeless skyline.

Guests enjoyed tasty food and a custom Purple Sparkler mocktail. For dessert there was a frozen yogurt bar with all the toppings you could imagine. Guests rocked the night away with an awesome  DJ and party lights. If they weren’t on the dance floor then they were striking a pose in the photo booth. That was a big hit with the green screen background – the fun was endless!

A Complete Wedding Weekend

Sometimes we find, as we get to go back through past events picking our favorite images to showcase the decor and details, we just don’t have the blog space to share every images that truly tell the full event story This wedding in particular, while visually stunning, was also a stunning production! The couple created a warm, welcoming and busy weekend for their guests and we’d like to walk you through some of the many moments, verbally as well as visually.

Beginning Thursday evening, the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. hosted a welcome dinner for wedding party, family and out of town guests at the Library Bistro in the Alexis Hotel, just two blocks from the pier covered Seattle waterfront. Rehearsal dinner followed that Friday evening, continuing the waterfront theme with a sunset cruise and dinner aboard an iconic Argosy Seattle cruise ship. The wedding day festivities took place Saturday at The Arctic Club, a historic property originally used during the Klondike gold rush as a clubhouse for miners and businessmen on their way to Alaska. The property has been beautifully rehabbed, while keeping tasteful and playful touches of the 1900s decadence and gold rush memorabilia. The most stunning of the restorations is he gorgeous stain glass Dome Room, where the ceremony and wedding reception took place. Guests enjoyed libations at the hotel’s glamorous Polar Bar, as we flipped the Dome Room to transition from the afternoon ceremony to evening dinner and dancing. The perfect wedding weekend ended with a sweet farewell brunch at The Arctic Club to thank guests once more for joining in their marital celebration.

Now, please enjoy the detail shots of the wedding weekend, taken by Stephanie Cristalli Photography, to accompany the full detailed schedule above!

Coming of Age Summer Bat Mitzvah

Please enjoy these photos by Belathee Photography, who were on hand to capture the true coming of age ceremony for this young lady’s Bat Mitzvah. The event truly focused on family and those in the community that took part in shaping and guiding the young guest of honor. The festivities of the day carried the message of investing in community, with catering provided by Herban Feast, using Washington State local produce and ingredients. The floral arrangements, provided by Metropolitan Market, also featured locally available, vibrant flowers and greens. Guests enjoyed live music, an accessory abundant photo booth and a playful DIY sundae bar. The mixed use of indoor and outdoor space took advantage of the perfect August weather in Seattle!Aliya Blog 5Aliya Blog 9Aliya Blog 8Aliya Blog 6Aliya Blog 3Aliya Blog 2Aliya Blog 7Aliya Blog 1Aliya Blog 4
