Each year, we look forward to hearing from the color authorities at Pantone, their prediction for the Color of the Year. For 2014, we could’t be more thrilled with their selection, or excited for this color trend to take center stage at future events. Pantone’s 2014 Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid, hits just the right note of a saturated color, but not so deeply jewel toned that it can’t easily adapt to spring and summer color pallet incorporations. Pantone describes their color choice as blooming…
“with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination. It is an expressive, creative and embracing purple—one that draws you in with its beguiling charm. A captivating harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid emanates great joy, love and health” – Pantone
We at Solomon Event Planning wish you a radiant 2014, to extra joy, love and health in the coming year!
Sometimes we find, as we get to go back through past events picking our favorite images to showcase the decor and details, we just don’t have the blog space to share every images that truly tell the full event story This wedding in particular, while visually stunning, was also a stunning production! The couple created a warm, welcoming and busy weekend for their guests and we’d like to walk you through some of the many moments, verbally as well as visually.
Beginning Thursday evening, the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. hosted a welcome dinner for wedding party, family and out of town guests at the Library Bistro in the Alexis Hotel, just two blocks from the pier covered Seattle waterfront. Rehearsal dinner followed that Friday evening, continuing the waterfront theme with a sunset cruise and dinner aboard an iconic Argosy Seattle cruise ship. The wedding day festivities took place Saturday at The Arctic Club, a historic property originally used during the Klondike gold rush as a clubhouse for miners and businessmen on their way to Alaska. The property has been beautifully rehabbed, while keeping tasteful and playful touches of the 1900s decadence and gold rush memorabilia. The most stunning of the restorations is he gorgeous stain glass Dome Room, where the ceremony and wedding reception took place. Guests enjoyed libations at the hotel’s glamorous Polar Bar, as we flipped the Dome Room to transition from the afternoon ceremony to evening dinner and dancing. The perfect wedding weekend ended with a sweet farewell brunch at The Arctic Club to thank guests once more for joining in their marital celebration.
